Default shift light wire?

I am looking to add a LED shift light and was wondering what color/location of the shift light wire that is in the stock tach was? can you just tap into that and have a brighter shift light that way?

find its positive and use it. assuming its a full 12 volts, if theres a resistor in the line(which I dont know if there is), you have to measure what its actual current is and then adjust from there.

yes you can, some guy in here did it, installed to small LED bulbs. You have to remove your cluster though to access it.
