i am really sorry, but if you do a search on "grounding wires" there is like 4 pages on the subject.

btw, i got the nissan motorsports wires... it has 6 wires. the way i installed it, it purposely has very low bling. i tried my best to hide every wire. very happy with it.

Get the Home Depot one. Wire 10 cents a foot, crimp terminals 15 cents each. Total cost around a buck ninety.

I second the Nismo aka Nissan Motorsports grounding kit. The build quality is second to none. The wires are daisy chained together to use one ground terminal per point and the battery connector is top notch.

Personally, I like the low bling factory. Keeps the engine looking neat and clean.

I second going to Home Depot. Just got finished installing my homemade grounding kit a couple of hours ago. Total cost was $27! installed it in about 1 hour. most of the time involved was striping the 4 gauge wire and puting the terminals on there and then heat shrinking it to make it look professional. I must say it looks good, you can't tell there is anything there, which is what I was after. The idle IS better now w/ the grounding kit. The tack needle does not move a muscle now. I have an injen cai and after i installed it the idle was kind of irratic, but now it's as smooth as butter. If you have any other questions ask me, this mod is super easy to do.

Something else i dont understand, what's the difference in a 5, 6 or 7 wire grounding kit. Obviously it is the number of wires but what does it do and what's the best number of wires to get ?

I got to say, $27.00 vs $89.00 sounds a lot better.
Does Home Depot have the proper materials? like the 14k plated connectors, and what about installation instructions? where did you get those.

Thanks fixeddrummer

5 wires = standard
6 wires = standard 5 wires + 1 extra Chasis Ground Wire
7 wires = standard 5 wires + 1 extra Chasis Ground Wire + 1 Transmission Ground Wire

I would imagine it would be best to get 7 wires ... do a little search on Grounding Kit and you should learn plenty,,

it honestly makes no difference which you get....none really do much of anything but add a bit of dressup (at least what I have found on the Z so far).

The Nismo kit looks great installed. The color seems off in pictures, but it is really stealth in the engine bay.

oh, talking about stealth arrangements... i was trying to see how well i could hide my wires. didnt really want the bling look. here is what i came up with. i put my intake cover back on, so now you really can hardly see them.
