Default Crawford ECU.........

I don't want to speak out of place here, but I believe the ECU upgrade is thru Technosquare. Doug & his crew have been working closely with T.S. fine tuning the ECU to work with the various Crawford goodies. Evidently, they now have the desired tuning sequence wanted and are now offering it to their customers. This is great news for all the loyal Crawford customers. Now....if only this re-flash works on the '04 ECU's (have seen various posts concerning the difference in '03 & '04 ECU's)........any word on that guys (Chris, Adam, Doug)?? Thanks, Jack

The gains would depend on your mods but I would expect about 7hp just from stock.

Rev limiter raised
top speed raised

Bump on hearing about performance gain claims for the Crawford package (all perf. parts + ECU).

Thx,
Jeff

Look for them in the next day or two. I will have all the dynos gathered tonight and will probably get around to doing the comparisons tomorrow.

I will tell you: timing is perfect, a/f is great, and HP and TQ is up. Revs to 7200 easily and without issues. For those of you who want increased redline, correct fuel and timing, and realistic performance gains it is a good modification. There are also some other tweaks that were made to improve certain conditions at our request during development. Make no mistake this is a highly custom tuned ECU using constant monitoring via consult-II, a/f, and dyno charts of which we relayed back to Technosquare. We have had over 8 flashes since we first started and are finally satisfied enough to say it is done. The flash will be good for 03 and early 04 cars with similar mods. When my ECU comes back I would like to try the flashed spare ECU in a bone stock car and see what happens. It would be nice if it could be something that could be purchased at anytime in an upgrade path, but I am not holding my breath.

Additional Info will be posted on website.

I still have not been able to get the charts from the dyno because of a silly floppy drive. His floppy drive broke preventing me from getting the data off his computer.

Here is a teaser, it is from a previous flash that we only tweaked a little more on throttle crack and up top to get the final flash. In other words, this is very close to the best. For this reason I am not showing the numbers. I will put something together as soon as I get the final graphs. Until then you just have to go by this chart. Obviously the blue (higher) line is the reflash vs the red (stock ecu) line.

A/F is between 12.9 and 13.1 the whole time. Before the flash I ran 13.3-13.7

FYI, Doug does not sell the flash. Contact Technosquare for ordering info and/or questions. All you have to tell them is "Crawford Flash" and they know what you are asking about.

Looks good, cant wait to see the final numbers.

Question though, how much of a difference will it make if you have the same mods but not the crawford mods.

Example

Kinetix plenum
Dc sports headers
Kinetix Cats
