Default Technosquare ECU upgrade?

Is it worth it to get an ECU upgrade when everything is stock? Besides the higher redline & no speed limit, can you feel the added horsepower? Please give me some feedback whoever has done this. Thanks.

No. Why spend all that money just so you can rev higher and have little more top speed There's no performance gain (or very little).
Plus you'll have to pay to reflash it when you add mods.

What if you have simple mods like intake, headers and exhaust??
Will there be any noticeable gain? I dont know anything about the technosquare system but am looking in to it.

All I can say is that I just had mine reflashed and I do not regret it at all. In fact, I would recommend it to anybody whether it is stock or not. I have the kinetix plenum/cats, Nismo V2 CAI, Nismo headers and a Nismo clutch/flywheel. It was running pretty good but due to the settings of the stock ecu, it was not what it should be. I sent it out to be reflashed and am most impressed. It is running very smoothly and I can feel it pulling much harder in the mid to upper rpm's. I am no expert on any of this but it is definitely worth every penny. I don't care as much about speed as I do performance and it is awesome. My dealer sent it out for me and said that he was going to recommend it to his customers even though he won't make anything on it.

All you have to do is go to Technosquare's website, fill out the necessary paperwork and send the ECU in to them. They will reflash the ECU according to your modifications that you have listed. There is also a cheaper version of the ECU for those who do not have any modifications, but would like the increase in rev limiter, eliminated speed limiter and the opening throttle.

You don't have to but that is what I chose to do. I didn't want to have to deal with taking the computer out, etc. so my dealer did it for me. The service manager is very open and willing to help make the car be what it should be.

So technosquare will do it if I drive to them? Some of those places (Like Hondata) dont take "walk-ins", you need to go through a dealer and THEY drive it to the place......

Is the price on the technosqure website the price we pay? or is there a special for my350z forum users?

just want to check where to get best price for their service... if the website is correct, then that's fine.

thanks!

Some dealers probably will not do it because they don't know anything about it. My service manager happens to own a 350z and is very knowledgeable about these cars so he talked to me about doing it when we made all the mods to the car that were planned. Good luck with yours. I would definitely encourage anyone to have it done.
