Default Raising the idle?? (post JWT solutions)

fellas....

after doing the JWT clutch and fly, i WISH i could eek out 100-200 rpm more at idel speed than i am currently having...

the major complaint i have with the lightweight fly is the sound at 500 rpm idle ... if i rest on the gas pedal (and get the revvs to 800-900), the sound is almost completely gone.... so, if i could split the difference, say 700-750 rpm at idle (a/c off), id be thrilled...

problem is....

i dont know HOW to raise the idle....

help!?!?!?

eS

here's the new fly, BTW

Default You need to....

go to your Nissan dealership and have them raise the idle with the Consult tool. Take them 5 min to complete... Hopefully they don't charge you....

Default raised idle

increasing the idle ~200rpm will help in two ways:

a) the noise reduction as mentioned
b) easier to start from a stop without stalling.

Default rpm

really? 50rpm would seem barely noticeable?

Maybe Jason @ Performance Nissan would know , since his idle was bumped up for the tilton install.

I need to raise my idle too. Strange thing was, my car was running just fine with the ATI @ 7lbs, but then i unplugged the battery and ever since, the car would drop revs a bit too low and begin to stall and then would bump itself back up.

I have mine bumped 75 RPM, but that was before the JWT. I just wanted to get rid of the bumpy idle.

It takes less than 2 minutes with the consult-II including uplink time.

Just turn on the A/C. That will boost the idle up to around 900.

my car seems very slightly affected by this, but it does help bring the idle up to 600 with the a/c on....

At 900rpm is the JWT flywheel noise "much less noticeble"?

They can do it in 50 RPM increments...that may be where you heard the 50 # .I've got mine at 750-800 RPM's with the help of a friend at the dealership
