You guys should check out Travelers Insurance, I just switched from USAA and saved hundreds. I am currently insured with Full everything + My Vortech SC ($9,000 in mods) + one speeding ticket and I only pay $675 / 6 months.

Default Re: Insurance

I pay around $700 every 6 months through USAA (22 years old with 1 ticket and 1 at fault wreck). That is with full coverage..... But I think after totalling my car it will be going up. Hopefully not too bad since it wasn't my fault .

AND I have heard a lot about insurance but I was hoping for more input on the pros and cons of Automatic vs. 6spd. Thanks to everyone.

Be caredul with USAA because they are known to farm out their high risk customers. They are an excellent insurance company though as long as you don't file too many claims. They gave me more than the bluebook value for my '96 Accord when I totaled it. I'm 27, single and pay $1200 a year for the Z, '02 A4 and '01 CBR F4I.

I have state farm and my rates keep rising as well.

I did get in one on track accident back at the beginning of the year, and I lost my good driver discount because of it, so the rate hikes are not due to my driving but to the overall performance of the "average" Z driver. I think we all have a little work to do on our driving....

To do my part, I will be headed back out to the track in a couple weeks to brush up on my skills.

get an auto esp if u encounter alot of traffic. The triptronic works great. oNce you start using it u will know the perfect time to shift. It pretty fun in non traffic situations.

Cool Well I got one... its an automatic

Well guys/girls, thanks for your input. I went out today and made a deal for another one. It is a Daytona Blue Touring Edition. Automatic with the cream leather interior and nav setup. The guy who had it before me took really good care of it. Here is the link if you want to check it out.

I will be tinting the windows as soon as humanly possible and puting the "FairladyZ" emblem on the back instead of the 350Z.

Yes, you are correct. USAA actually has two different auto insurance companies, one for normal drivers, the other for higher risk ones. Unfortunately I can't remember the name of it.

I have USAA, and pay just over $800 / 6 months at the moment. That includes two wrecks, one my fault, the other was a low speed collission on ice (previous car). Even though the incident on ice really was out of my control, it's still considered your fault in the eyes of the insurance company. Haven't had a ticket go on my record in almost 4 years, so I don't think those count against me...
