JWT cam instal info
OK the cam install was not as bad as i thought it was going to be. It took 14 hours to complete the job. The major part of the project is to line up the timing chain and cam gears correctly. You do not need to pull the engine or compress the valves either, but you need to buy ATV gasket sealant. To get to the cams you need to first disconnect the battery. Then remove the throttle body, intake manifold, intake box or intake, fuel pump, drain the radiator coolant, remove all of the coolant lines, all of the pulleys, alternator, ac compressor, rocker covers, coil packs, spark plug wires, timing chain, cam gear chains, cam gears, and drain and drop the oil pan. You do not have to remove the main intake i covered that up with duck tape so nothing could get inside my engine while i worked on the cams. The pictures of the install some people showed on here earlier was more complex than it in fact was for the JWTS. You also need a gasket cutter to clean and get off the timing chain cover.
A MUST HAVE TOOL TORQUE WRENCH TO TIGHTEN BACK TO SPECS.
Hope this helps Glen

why do you have to pull the pulleys? i'm confused - doesn't the engine have the capability to just pull the timing chain cover and mark the sprokets? i'm just curious - how are the gains and how does it feel? - also did you need to check your bucket clearances - any development of a misfire?
