Default Nissan VS. TS ECU idle bump?????

I had a Tilton flywheel installed a while ago and had Nissan bump the IDLE to 750-800 range......... a month later I decided to go with a TS ecu reflash to richen my fuel...due to CATS and raise the REV limit for the flywheel.... well I told them about the flywheel and they said that they could permanently raise the idle to 800..... they said that nissan used the consult tool to raise the IDLE and that a reflash would over-ride and reset what NISSAN did....

well it didnt and now my idle is @ 1000... what do i do????? I dont want to go to nissan and tell them about the REFLASH possibly killing whatever warrenty I have left???? Is there a way to mechanically lower the IDLE?????

better yet what happened????

I had them raise my idle to 900 for my cams. Why is it bad or something for the car to be at 1000?

Thanks Glen

I know it's a PITA, but why don't you just send it back to Technosquare to let them correct their mistake?

I would think Technosquare should be able to change it. How can it be permanently set at 1000 rpm? That doesn't sound logical. If it is permanently set, then how can the Consult II change it? Thus, what's the point of taking it back to the dealership?

I mean that if you reset the ECU it wont go away.... TS said that once they reset my ECU that the NISSAN changes will go away... if I knew they were mistaken then I would have not asked them to change the IDLE......

I just want to know the diffrence in how NISSAN and TS changed the IDLE....

has to be two diffrent ways otherwise how do i have this confict????

They probably just made an error. They use the same technique that the consult does. Nothing is permanent. TS can always reflash to lower the idle.

Send it back to TS. I have the JWT flywheel and had them set mine @ 800 and it was perfect. I'm sure they'll correct it at no charge. I believe the Consult II will modify the parameters but it's not actually hardcoded into the ECU. Whereas TS flashes the EPROM (hardcodes) the new settings. Based on what I was told, if the dealer does any type of reflash, TS will flash your originally purchased program for free.
