All the problems you read about are mostly on the 03 model, I have a 04.5 and have had no problems.

The RSX and the Z are completely different cars and have completely different feels. Front engine, front wheel drive and front engine, rear wheel drive feel alot different. I used to have a turbo civic and then went to a Z. WOW what a difference. I definetly recommend test driving both before deciding.

The popcharger is an intake adapter, filter and heat shield, good mod to start out with. Decent gains, good price and great sound.

Hope this all helps with your decision. Buy the Z, you won't regret it.

You should look into getting one now if you can, the dealers will probably give you a great deal on an 04 cause the 05 are out now.

I'm not quite sure, but I think it has slightly bigger cams and a different ECU. Oh and it also has a 7000 RPM redline as apposed to a 6600 RPM redline.

How the hell are you having trouble deciding between an RSX and a Z? Just get the Z man, its much more car then the RSX could hope to be.

The Z is awesome but i have an 04 and i have a few of the 03's problems...tire feathering,2nd gear syngro, axles clicking, and water coming in on the driver side! But it's still a Z. My buddy has an RSX type S with a Greddy Turbo...Holy @#$#$ it's fast! 300hp at 9lbs. I have driving both he will pull me until i went with the 3.12 (9lb) pulley! The Z is sexy.

The 05 track model has different cams ans variable valve timing on the intake and exhaust valves, not just the intake valves. The new track model does lose alot of torque. In my opinion a nicely modded enthusiast model is the way to go.

Check out the Z, but please be aware that the major issues (tranny and tire feathering) have _NOT_ been fixed to satisfaction. Yes there are people with 04.5s w/o feathering...but there were also 03 preorder owners without it as well. And the latest tranny is still notchy as hell.

The RSX is not without flaws either, but I'm not well versed enough to go into them.
