Default What the best way to reduce road noise?

What kind of product would you use to reduce road noise and have your Z ride quiet as a Lexus?

Would dynomatting your entire car work?

Try a search on "fatmat" or "dynamat", you'll see many suggestions.

Dynomatting is really the only way. You have to dampen the sound through density loading. It will add alot of weight to the car. To minimize the cost of added weight try to place the mat at stategic places that produce the most noise. You may need a friend to help listen while you drive around. Shock tower areas, over the diff int eh rear hatch and along the trans tunnel would be my guesses for problem areas.

I think changing tires will have a bigger impact than dynamat which I believe is more for reducing structural sounds (like vibrations) rather than being a sound dampener (to block sound). Check www.b-quiet.com for different products for different purposes.
