I've got the 3.9 and the Tilton and its an incredible combo from a roll. I'm heading out to the track tomorrow to see if I can actually launch on street tires.

If you install turbo there are issues like lag while NA you get a smoother powerband etc. There are lots of reasons.

The reason some turbo cars have lag is because they have lower compression...so unless you build the motor will low comp pistons...you will have the same power off boost as an N/A 350Z.

I think the S2000 with a V6 would be a equal replacement for the NSX except for body styling. S2000 is like half the size. They have gotten 450+ N/A horsepower from NSx engines without increasing the compression ratio that much. Still able to run on street gas but they have higher octane gas in japan. I think 450 whp is possiable without a stroker kit. I would say using the Vq30 crank and rods making it easier to to rev into the 9000+ range. thats the only way too make big power. And Individual throttle bodies must have to be used. 9000 rpm with close gears would be incrediable.
