Don't waste time hooking it up to the 02 sensor. The ECU is located under the passenger side dash. There are threads about taking apart the dash/console. Just search.

Forget using the OEM sensors for a/f readings. Wideband or not, you should use a reliable aftermarket system if you want to read your air/fuel ratio.

Installed the turbo timer today. This write up is definitely thumbs up.

But I did some searching around and found that 2004.5 and 2005 models came with Wideband O2 sensor stock. The one that's before the cat. I have 2004.5. so, which ECU Pinout is the precat O2 sensor? Thanks.

No worries glad to help. I think some step by step pics would make this write up even better. Let me know if you get them and I will edit the original post to include your pics. Thanks again!!

Sounds good, and I agree. I fully intended to take a bunch of pics but got done and realized I hadn't taken a single one.

i have an issue.... i installed my hks timer and my ignition fuse under the hood keeps blowing!

i tapped into my headunit wiring for power and accesory, hooked up the parking brake, and properly found the ignition wire under the steering column. has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions?

What rating is that fuse? 10 amp or 15 amp? You shouldn't be blowing any fuses but if you are its a signal too much current is being run back into the ignition circuit from the turbo timer...

It's actually a 40amp fuse. And $15 a pop! Are you saying that it could be pulling too much power from the wiring from my stereo and pushing it to that fuse causing it to blow?

Yes its quite possible. Try re-tapping your power source from the wire on the ignition harness. On the same harness as the black with red wire under the steering column there is a white wire with a blue stripe. If you test it with the car off you should read a solid 12 volts. Try tapping your 12 volt source there. I have done that on the last three cars I installed turbo timers on (friends Zs and Gs) and it works just fine..

Default Greddy full auto turbo timer

This How to is great......made the install easy. Wanted to add pictures and will update the first post as the pics are dead. waiting for MIAPLAYA to see if he may still have them.

The greddy full auto Turbo timer hooks up exactly the same.....

It has a harness that has a white plug at the end........if you dont buy the "optional vehicle specific plug and play" harness then you need to cut the white plug off and strip the 3 wires.....

The three wires are thick wires that are BLUE, RED and GREEN.

To remove the lower plastic panel on the steering column you can follow POST 13 through 16 here:
https://my350z.com/forum/body-interi...t-install.html

The wires you need to splice into at the steering column are circled here - right above the tilt lever:

Here are two pics of the Greddy FULL AUTO TURBO TIMER and its configuration:

Wire connections from cut white harness plug removed:

GREDDY TURBO TIMER HARNESS
- 350Z STEERING COLUMN WIRES
RED WIRE - 12V (+) WHITE/blue stripe
GREEN WIRE - Ignition (+) BLACK/red stripe
BLUE WIRE - Accessory (+) WHITE/black stripe
BLACK WIRE with loop at end - Find a good ground under the dash.

PURPLE SPEED SIGNAL WIRE:
If you care to hook up the purple speed signal wire then you can connect it to the Z speed wire (white with green stripe) located at the back of the uni-meter (middle plug) - LOCATION SHOWN HERE:
https://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-v...t-ii-pics.html
Post 12 of this thread shows it in better detail.

BROWN PARKING WIRE:
I didn't hook this up, I simply grounded it with the black ground wire.

Obviously to connect it if you wish you would need to remove the center console and access the parking brake wires and test for 12v and 0volt wire as shown in the greddy manual pic.

GREDDY MANUAL:

To download the entire greddy turbo timer manual you can do so at greddy.com/tech support/ ~ scroll down to "turbo timer"

Also, the greddy turbo timer doesnt come with any kind of mount base or anything other that some sorry double sided tape.............we didnt use it but ended up getting a thicker double sided tape and it held, but im very doubtful it will hold under the dash plastic like that for long...........

I guess keep in mind mounting configuration when looking to do this install..
