Here are some pics of the upper

Not completely done sanding it yet because I am so busy between 928 motorsports, Pivot Point and school not to mention my own 350z SC project. The outside will be flattened this weekend and powder coated.
The lower plenum has some minor work done to it including cleaning up the casting.

My car is less than a year old and I swear 5th grinds if I shift into it any higher than 2500rpm....WTF!!!
Greath thread, more dyno time! lol
After reading all these pages I've definitely gained quite a bit of knowledge.
Now, did I miss the dynos by bilinghm ? The last post I read mentioned that their local dyno would be open in december but nothing since then.
Could someone point me the right direction if I just missed it?
Thanks!

If all your intake runners (or exhaust runners, for that matter) are exactly the same length, you get one specific RPM peak where the ram effect and power is maximum. Vary the lengths slightly and you spread the power over a wider RPM range. I dunno what the notch is for...
Decades ago, racing Chevy 427s and Ford 289s with fuel injection used to have 8 trumpets on the intakes which were usually staggered in height for the same reason.

Well after a long day of running around looking for non-ferrous burrs...
Before...

After...

My Buddy Travis helped me, well i observed and handed him sh*&, smooth out my lower collector portion of my intake plenum/manifold. Looks great, he radiused out the runners and took out the sharp lip from the casting. We also installed the Motordyne 5/16" Iso Thermal Spacer. It sounds a little throatier and pulls harder especially after ~4000 rpm. It no longer feels like it is struggling for air towards the top end of each gear. All of this saved me about $450 on the Motordyne Mrev-2.
