i never thought about that, i know some people through my work that do anodizing. i really need that 600 bucks from the government so i can get a couple lowers to mess with. i want to port match and hone a lower and the y manifold to the heads, port match the heads, get one of your 5/16 iso thermal spacers and slap it all together with my upper and see what happens heh

That's easy.

Just click the link in my signature below and look around the website for a lot of information on the subject.

PM me if you have any questions.

FWIW - I took my plenum apart last night b/c the top exterior portion had some small hairline cracks developed and small amounts of oil was seeping out...

the epoxy is holding up perfectly - looks like the cracks on the exterior are just due to thermal cycles and the difference from the paint/plenum/epoxy...not sure how the oil is getting through - I wonder if the expoy is porous enough to allow the oil to seep through??

didn't get a chance to take any pics last night...but here's a pic of what it looked like before:

here's it unfinished...you can see the epoxied areas.

finished version

maybe try getting your upper plenum powder coated. That should create an impermeable coating, no?

i think its about time to start shopping for some lower plenums, anyone have a revup lower that they are willing to part with
I'm doing my also but I'm going to take them all out.

Have you notice any performance increase by doing this? How's butt dyno say?

got the manifold back and grinded down the welds. I did what i cold with just sanding cuz the guy that welded it tried to fill in the gap after he had welded a round piece of aluminum, but didnt do suck a good job on that part. nothing a lil J&b weld cant fix.

Wonderful job!

I did the same thing but left one bolt in the center. I think this has been one of the best intake mods I have done on my SC'd Z. I don't seem to have the torque/horsepower drop off that many seem to experience on boosted Z's.

looking good man, i like the finish on the paint. i still have my modded upper but i just got rid of my z so i don't really have any reason to mess with all of that anymore. i wish i would have gotten to do more with it all
