Just did mine with the original method. Used 3 pieces of tape instead of 2. SO much smoother. Thanks again!

Can someone explain to me how this stopper mod has a different effect then adjusting the threaded rod to move the clutch engagement point? I did the threaded rod adjustment the other day, but if this is safer for the clutch then I'll reverse it and do this. It could be in my head but the car seems more difficult to shift since I adjusted the threaded rod. I did jack up the back of the car and with the threaded rod adjustment (2.5 turns) and with the clutch disengaged the rear wheels do not move.

Just did this to my 05, I have much smoother starts now. Feels like every other clutch i've driven. I just need to get my timing back

I may have put a little to much spacer in though, (3 pieces of double side tape).

Just did this today exactly as pictured with the gliders. Best $1.97 I have ever spent! Question for long time users - any problems or issues yet? I don't want to remove them

I bought the nail-on glides last spring and totally forgot about this. Hoping for some nice weather this weekend so I can do this.

Did my clutch stopper mod today. I ended up using 3M autobody tape (the dark grey stuff) because I didn't have any of the white 3M tape shown in the tutorial. Anyway I took it out for a test drive and it is pleasantly more of a precise shifting experience! Clutch pedal travel is now more similar to my STi which is, IMO, how it should be. And as far as I can tell the clutch is fully engaging/disengaging, so I would say it's a success. Best bang for buck mod I've done to date.

If you want to take this a step further and give yourself a clutch pedal that can fully adjust the engagement point you should look into my DIY.

Cost me nothing and made my car 1000x better to shift.

How do you take the nails off? They seem to be a bxtch to take off, I can't just easily bend or cut off a nail 😕
