As to the stock G35 Tach working with the GM ECU will not work with out alot of $$$$$ and time and modifying the stock cluster with new hardware. Cass was able to make it work due to the Vipec standaolne ECU using CAN out signals that were the same as the Stock cluster. Just go with a stack or something like it or make your own with multiple autometer gauges its up to you.
Well right now it has a 3.5 in down pipe. If I go any bigger I gotta make a new engine mount for the passenger side. Since I'm running a Sikky kit I didn't wanna change the engine mounts yet. So unless I can sel them ill just use them for now. What ya got left to do on your G?

Awesome! I'm gonna need to see what happens with my fuel pump. Then I just need injectors, gauge cluster and exhaust made. So now I just gotta get rid of my parts I didn't use.

Is there a picture of what exactly I need to do? A bit confused.
I'm still using my 3.3 Quaife rear and its fine IMO. If you get all the way into 6th and still need to pull on somebody you may want to consider just letting them win. The stock 05-06 T56 gears still seem very short in 1st and 2nd to me since I could pull out in 3rd if I really wanted to and around town I do 1-3-5 shifting much of the time.

As far as the tach... its not a $2k part, its paying the right guy to do the work. I wanted as stock a look as possible, plus I have custom LEDs in my cluster, so I had to protect that investment as well.

Diebold Autosport, ask for Franz and he can do anything, just be prepared to pay him for his time. He is a race team pro tuner and wiring harness fabricator for some serious rally teams. Being unique doesn't often come cheap.

I was looking into building my 03 Z but at a car meet started talking to someone about an LS1 Swap so I'm trying to determine which route to go.

Looks like everyone is using the Sikky kit, does anyone have experience with The Fueled Racing Complete Swap Kit?
I'm still trying to go through this thread but didn't see too much info so far on a swap to an auto Z. Just need to know what do I need to do with my auto tranny.
As far as getting an LS1, still trying to figure out which route to go and what is compatible with an auto Z. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You'll have to swap the trans as well and you can go t56 or 4l60e I believe with these swap kits.

Great thanks...a lot to learn with this. I think this is def a better option for me than building the VQ! I just need to make sure im getting all the proper components. In terms of the ECU, what are yyou guys using in that department?

well lets put this simply when i started mine i was hoping to spend a little more than what it would have cost me to build the bottom end of my vq.... after selling the vq motor and trand and turbo kit.. i made 8k on these..... i spent that 8k and have spent well over an additional 5k plus mine is getting finished in chicago as we speak and will be spending between 1-3k ... so this being said this is a great swap! but if you are a baller on a budget this swap is NOT for you ... if you are not a mechanic or greater i highly suggest you pay someone to do it for you. anyone and just install some headers and a motor with a kit but gettting the wiring and bugs worked out needs to be done by a professional. hope this helps you with a decision.

damon

ps i love my ls6 350z

My engine is from Turnkey engine service. Super nice engine, forged internals, and comes with harness and ecu. I lay problem I had is it was in a buddies Porsce 944 for 700miles. So the ecu and harness were no good to me.

I have a corvette E40 PCM and HP Tuners, but I've heard good things about Pro EFI. I can only speak to the HP Tuners software but there is sooo much you can have unlocked by them, it's impressive but from what I understand it's a little harder to use. There was one person on their forum that actually had them unlock the fuel and ignition maps on a per cylinder bases so he could tune each cylinder. They seem to have pretty good support as well on their forums for when you have questions.

I've gone through this thread and all the build threads I could find....!!! Definitely worth the time and money.....if you have both. I'm not completely throwing out the idea but with my location and limited resources...I might not be able to pull this off. I'm still researching this option but I still have yet to find a person let alone a shop that has any kind of experience with this type of build/swap.

I just took a very quick look through the spec/manuals. Yeah I don't think I'd ever use this. I see no provisions for knock sensors and it has very limited timing capabilities amongst other things, which after all is where most of your power actually is at. I'm sure you can make an engine run and drive just fine but I'd be hesitant to actually put down some serious power with it. But I could be wrong or I may have missed something.
