Thanks guys

Downpipe is on and looks like it will need minimal adjustment to make it fit a 350Z exhaust.

Just waiting on the custom propshaft being made.

In terms of power figures, my target is 700hp and 700 torque. The Syvecs will allow us to have 8 different maps so I will have a few power settings

My mapper seems to think we will be closer to 900-950hp.

I've seen a few youtube videos of the turbo I'm using and they have all made around 850 RWHP

Couple of advices, get or weld 90 degree turbo compressor ( 90 coupler would burn or blow off), sell the 264 And get 272 cams, bigger injectors, connect the Syvec to the Z CAN BUS to get the OEM tacho to work and to change maps and boost and do rolling launch by the steering wheel buttons.

The highest S366 on a 2jz I have seen is putting around 850whp. I'm aiming for low to mid 600whp on 91oct with the same turbo and 272 Titan cams.

I did consider upgrading to 272 cams but everything I've read about them says that on a road car they effect drivability too much - my supra was a butch to drive at low speeds with the 264s.

Injectors have already been upped to 1000cc.

Will look into the syvecs thing, would be a lot easier than getting the race tech dash fitted.

What swap kit did you use? Also what was or had to be done to get it to fit and leaving your shifter assembly in the center?

Returned home from holiday to a few nice packages

Tarmac supplied a Mine's lip

Looks pretty well made, as most of you will remember I had a genuine CF Mine's lip n my last car that I destroyed due to it being so low and with this car being even lower I dont fancy destroying another carbon one

Jez @ Horsham supplied me with a 350Z syvecs harness. This will allow us to use the stock dash cluster instead of switching to the race tech (Race tech was way too much hassle for me to be arsed with!)

What shifter assembly are you using? Ands what didn't you use the stock 2j mounts and brackets?I heard they work. Last but not least, was cutting the cross member and re welding the lip on it definitely necessary? Thanks ands build looks awesome

Shifter assembly is stock and will probably be modified to move it back to the stock location.

Didn't know that the stock 2J brackets and mounts fit - never seen anyone say that they do?

as for cutting the cross member - The 2JZ sits a lot lower than a VQ and the space in the cross member is required for the oil pan to sit into - without this space then the engine wont fit

Oh ok I was asking because I'm about to pick up my motor set this Thursday and prepare for the swap. The only thing is I'm going to use my cd009 trans with collins adaptor plate and shortened shifter and was thinking whether or not I'm going to have to modify the cross member since the motor well most likely have to sit up front closer to the rad support vs yours which sits low and closer to the fire wall.

With front sump pan I didn't have to cut anything. I am using the Getrag trans as well not a Z trans.

I'm using Z transmission

The sale of the V160 paid for me to buy the Z

We also had to change to the oil pan from an Aristo as there are 3 different 2JZ sumps.

I will be making a custom trans bracket as I don't have the Supra bracket and I'm pretty sure I got rid of the Z trans bracket when I sold the trans.

Honestly, I forgot. I don't remember which car they come out of. Titan has them and all I asked for was a front sump pan setup.

So now comes the dilemma.

I've been in discussions with another garage to finish it off for me but it wont be until later this year/early next year. If I do go ahead with it then I will be making a few changes to the spec of the car.

Depending on the outcome of the cost discussion then I may still end up breaking it.

Either way, its home with me now and I can take my time to decide what I'm doing
