Default 2jz 350z

Back about 18 months ago I bought a Supra TT and spent a bit of time modifying it (Hybrid turbos, cams, syvecs ECU) which made nowhere near the power it should have done on the dyno.

After a compression test, we found that cylinder 4 was much lower than the other 5 so took the decision to rebuild the engine using forged internals.

About a month after this, I broke up with my GF and in a moment of madness decided to buy my old 350Z back from brother so that he could buy a house.

I never really got on with the Supra so decided to cut my loses with that & convert my new 350Z to a 2JZ.

Good stuff, I was hoping it was a Collins adapter. How's it line up? Saw on a other thread that it was an inch or so

There have been so many 2JZ dreamer threads lately. Glad to see someone actually do it (...and properly at that).

Engine is pretty much done & should be back at the end of this week

Popped up last night and took a few pics now that the suspension is settled. The front will drop a bit more once theres an engine in there

As usual with the Zupra. Its one step forward two (hundred) steps back

I bought some new injectors as the 800cc ones I have wont be big enough

The engine is back & ready to be assembled

Nicely done head

The block has even been test fitted (This will be painted black once ready to go it!)

As you can see though, the engine sits a bit further forward due to our use of the 350Z box over a Supra box which in turn means it doesn't line up with our motor mounts - Lesson learnt here is that my mate should always listen to me on gear box choices :P (I wanted to use the Supra box from the start, he wanted to use the Z box) And it also means that the radiator doesn't fit!

So we now need to move the gearbox back a little bit and make some custom mounts for it. Will also mean having a custom prop shaft - should hopefully have this done by end of next week ()
