Default Any NY/NorthEast Engine Swappers active?

How are you guys going about getting your cars to pass NYS emissions inspections with different engines. It's not like down south where they can just give you a sticker. They have to plug it in to a OBDII reader. I bought my LS engine but I am still stuck on possibly not being able to drive it on the road.

No longer easy to do. Point Blank. Now as for LS I believe all you need is good properly working emissions equipment from an LS modified for a Z to make it work and or has to be newer than the car itself ie: 2004 Z can use 2005 LS motor, harness, cats, ecu etc... OG's please correct me if i'm wrong

Nope. Rules allow a swap to a newer engine from the SAME manufacturer. I don't think you are allowed to put in other manufacturers engines. I still have a NYS inspectors license but I haven't worked in a shop over 5 years. I always wondered what guys did for this, my guess is they inspect it in another state.

Register it as a parade vehicle or something similar. There is usually and inspection/emissions exemption for hot rods and stuff like that. Only restriction in PA is that you have to drive it less than 5k miles per year.
