The Momentum Performance Y-Pipe is a true track-oriented product specifically designed for hardcore racers seeking to “Push Forward” past the limits of their vehicle’s stock exhaust system.
By deleting the factory catalytic converters and replacing them with the Momentum Performance Y-Pipe not only are the multiple welds and seams of the factory exhaust system eliminated, but important weight savings over stock are also introduced. The Momentum Y-Pipe’s integrated test pipes offer a shallower angle than products offered by many of our competitors and are manufactured out of TIG welded, mandrel bent 304 stainless steel for the ultimate in strength and corrosion protection. The Y-Pipe reduces heat, flow matches exhaust gases for more power production and improves engine breathing.

FEATURES

• 2 1/4” primaries to one 3” secondary

• Mandrel bends for optimal airflow
• 16 gauge 304 stainless steel

You certainly aren't clogging the thread!

All Momentum Performance Single Turbo kits operate on the stock flash level of 8.5-9lbs of boost. I'm going to post a few videos below from recent Momentum Kits we've done, keep in mind NONE of them are on methanol or any other sort of octane supplement, even the 622whp below. On an unmodified flash, you can expect ~400-410whp. We've pulled 622whp on a 93 octane pump gas car and it's still driving today, more than a year of hard driving later, so tuning the car on 91 octane is no problem, there is plenty of headroom left.

Here are a few video examples of Momentum Kits on our Dyno.

2003 Infiniti G35 - Momentum Kit/Dual Exhaust/Unmodified Flash - 409.38whp/393.96lbft

2003 Nissan 350Z - Momentum Kit/Base Flash 409.61whp/382.44lbft

2005 Nissan 350Z - Momentum Kit/Momentum Headers - 426.74whp/415.35lbft

2005 Infiniti G35 - Momentum Kit/8lbs of Boost - 386.40whp/384.29ftlbs
Make note that this power level was generated on 8lbs of boost. We slightly detuned the basemap to prolong life of his stock clutch.

Now if you want to get crazy, you can see the increase in power level with boost in this series of videos. All were done with the same built motor 93 octane 350Z with increasing boost pressures. Keep in mind that this car isn't on meth or with any other octane supplement.

2003 Nissan 350Z - Momentum Kit/Built Motor/7psi- 413.53whp/391.97ftlbs

2003 Nissan 350Z - Momentum Kit/Built Motor/12psi - 518.60whp/513.54ftlbs

2003 Nissan 350Z -Momentum Kit/Built Motor/17psi- 622.82whp/558.10lbft

All that being said, the easiest thing to do is to give us a call at the shop @ 910.332.5901 or give our performance consultant an e-mail at Jordan@nationalspeedinc.com

That way, you can discuss any qualms or questions you had about the kit, or just pick our brains about the best route to go to reach your goal. If you do give us a ring, tell them MY350Z sent you.

Thanks for the question!

Absolutely!

Alternatively, if you wanted to see more documentation regarding the Turbo Kit install process, we have a few albums of the kits being installed on 350Z's and G35's

2005 Nissan 350Z - Momentum Kit

2003 Infiniti G35 - Momentum Kit

Not sure if you need to be a fan of our Facebook or not first to see the albums, though.

Any more questions you ask, feel free to ask in this thread, PM, give us a call or shoot us an e-mail. We are always easily reachable in one form or another!

Actually, importimage was correct! I don't want misinformation spreading as much as the next guy, and they were right.

We had initially purchased a large amount of Momentum Performance inventory while they were still in business, so everything that we have is our inventory.
