SEIBON TS-II owners get in here.
Man im getting the run around.
SEIBON is now telling me that the seibon TS-II nver has fit the US version. They are telling me that the hood is molded fromt he Jap-spec Z thats why it hits the strut bar.
As far as i know this is not true.
Does anybody own the TS-II hood and did not have any fitment issues?

First of all they are a US based company, so why would they test it on a JDM Z33. Second, There are no differences in the engine bay on the RHD vs LHD Z33 unless you look at the firewall which has nothing to do with hood fitment.
That is just absolutley ridiculous. I wouldnt stand for it! Demand that you get reimbursed. I am having second thoughts about buying from Seibon now.

I ordered a seibon Vt hood a couple weeks ago and found out yesterday that they haven't shipped yet due to fitment problems that they are going to fix. So hopefully when i do get it, there won't be any problems. I took my strut bar off anyways but i'm glad to see they are trying to fix the problem.
dude I have an oem seibon hood and the first one i ordered di not fit the mounting holes were of by nearly 1/2 an inch. i had it sent back and my shop got me a second one and the mounting holes on the right side fit but the left did not. i ended up dremeling the left hood hinge and now the hood fits but the hood is a little short everything was fine except where the hood meets the bumper. the tip of the hood is 1/2 inch shorter than the bumper. its not as bad on a black car but if the colrs contrast you can see it more.

If you want to keep the hood with the strut bar intact, you can try taking out the stock latch and use only hood pins to secure the hood.
My VS hood didn't want to close on the second click, probably because it did not want to clear something under the hood(big possibility that it's the strut). I didn't want the hood to close with pressure because it might crack the clear coat. Taking a dremel to the hood would also be PITA so I just went with putting hood pins to secure the hood. The hood pins gave enough clearance under the hood.
I'm not sure if you would want to take out the stock latch, just an idea. Good Luck.

coldfusion, you said that you had trouble with the pins i thought...when we had the drive leaving evolution you told me that you were having trouble with the fitment and the pins i thought.
My point is SEIBON doesnt advertise That there hoods almost fit. Or dont fit. They advertise adn tell there customers over the phone that they gauruntee perfect fitment!
I feel sorry for everybody that gets mixed up with seibon. never again will I.
