Default Has this happened to anyone? Any ideas?

My passenger side power window broke several times and the interior door panel coming off was a regular occurance. Well, I guess the last time they worked on it, they didn't intend for the door to come off again.

It seems like they stripped the molly that sits in the sheet metal inside the door. The hex bolt spins the entire molly inside the sheet metal. I think they might have stripped it out and then used some sort of adhesive to keep the bolt in place. Then when I tiried to ratchet it out, I might have killed the molly. Either way, I need this door panel off so I can get my good speakers out.

I've head the last resort is drilling it out. Any other ideas? I've already had the dealership work on it and they couldn't get the panel off. Their solution is to break it and put a new part on but I would be responsible for the cost. I know, I know....I'm tired of fighting with them.

Any help is much appreciated.

If those are the options, I would say... drill it out. Much can be solved by drilling. I'm a firm believer in that.

who worked on it last, the dealership? Shouldn't that be THEIR problem then if they did that?

Sure but since I started the legal battle with Nissan over a year ago...it's gotten UUUGLY.

I drilled it out and got the door put back together correctly...
