Default led tail light

I want to put leds in the tail light, but not just by replacing the bulb. I think i can get the leds in the factory housing. The only problem is that I am not sure how to wire them? I bought some 5000mcd leds with the following specs:

Forward Voltage (V): 1.8~2.2
Reverse current(uA): <=30
Max Power dissipation: 80mw
Max Continuous Forward Current: 30mA
Max Peak Forward Current: 75mA
Reverse Voltage: 5-6V

If anyone could give me any suggestions on how I could wire this up and additional components needed to make this work please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

7440 Bulbs www.superlumination.com

These LED bulbs aren't bright enough for my taste so I made my own using Luxeon :-) They're quite expensive so I don't sell them.
