Default How can I get rid of crease in trunk carpet mat?

My Z came with a carpet mat for the trunk (-Z- Logo on it).

Since day 1, it has had a crease in it that prevents one of the rear most corners from laying flat.

I tried using a heat gun to heat it up and flatten it, with no success. I'm afraid that an iron might melt it or leave a mark.

Does anyone know how I might remove the crease permanently (I do not want to use carpet tape).

Thanks.

If the crease is straight, have you tried folding it in the opposite direction?

Many of the custom interior guys use steam guns to form carpet to high and low points....might be worth a try.

Yes, I think the backing on the carpet "set" this way during mfg. Perhaps they folded it too soon.

That's what I thought. I noticed something like this on OVERHAULIN (TV).

If steam will work, maybe I'll try holding it over a pot of boiling water.

I looked for a custom interior shop in/near/around Atlanta with no luck.

Thanks for replying.

Tea towel and a steam iron chap, just like pressing trousers ! Do it on both sides and it should get rid of it.

My family owns a furniture store and i do all the repairs on all the upholstery and i was gonna say to use a steamer. that gets almost all the creases out of the stuff that i work on. use a steamer and a stiff brush as u steam it.
