Is this what you mean by "pigeon out"?

The Vertical Doors Inc kit is direct “bolt” on.... meaning that the "BOLTS" line up and you do not have to drill additional holes. BUT, as the good Doctor responded, you do have to do some fender rolling or cutting to make the kit fit properly.

The VDI kit is an excellent kit and if you can get one for $745.00 dollars I would jump on it. I paid more than that for a used kit.

How much fender cutting or rolling is necessary? I'm actually not clear on exactly what this is either. COuld there be any negative effects to doing this? Sorry, i'd have to say i'm unknowledgeable in this specific area.

Dumb newbie question, but would making my doors gullwing like that void my warranty on my engine/tranny/tires etc?

I'm not thinking of it just 'cause it looks cool, but I'm always afraid of bumping the doors into cars since they open so wide. (I am NOT complaining about me Z, just stating.)

I have had them almost a year now.

Here is a pic of the "cut" area.

Pics 2 & 3 are of clearance issue points.

They won't void your warranty either.

Not only do you have to cut or roll the fender but you have to grind down the shoulder bolt (the one circled on JCN's last pic) so it doesn't ding the inner fender. You also have to use spacers (washers) to get the door to align with the front and rear fenders.

For those interested in lambo door kits PM me cause I don't want to advertise a company that is not a sponsor. Prices are comparable.

I just did a universal kit on my car... it looks killer... however to use such kits that are not BOLT ON... you will have to make new door panels. Take that into consideration when choosing a system.

If you've never seen this kit being installed... don't be fooled by the 999 price... this is an expensive kit to have installed. I just put it on my car and as killer as it looks it's really hard to install... you have to cut and weld... most people don't want to see their Z being cut up. Then you have to prep and paint the hinge for a more custom look. My recommendation... stick to the bolt on kits. Just my .02

I mentioned paint because on my install I filled in all the previous holes from hinges we took off.
