ares, i was under the impression from what i've read in previous posts that the doors open out so many inches and then some kits will raise the doors more vertical while others pigeon them out. Many of the pics i've seen pigeon out but there was one black roadster i saw where they seem to be more vertical to the ground and there was some reference to the fact. So yes, i do realize the doors can't go directly straight up without opening out first lol. Sa@lol, i can't wait to see pics of it, i'm routin' for ya! BTW, does anyone know how this kit compares to others in quality and install? It said its a direct bolt and didn't require any changes or cutting. Do some of the kits? I did a little reading about the kits before and i heard one of the best kits was like $2000 but i do understand this is an introductory price. very, very tempting. does anyone with door kits have problems getting out of tight parking spots ...expecially with big SUV's next to them???

I dont see how the same mechanism can fit the Z as the escalade with no modification... call me sceptical. but Im a pessamist at heart and hate things that seem too good to be true.[/QUOTE]
Ahhh yes, i guess we will see how good to be true it is depending on how long this "introductory" price lasts ...if ya know what i mean. but hopefully its on the up and up and some people get some cheap kits for awhile.

That sounds like a pretty good deal, but yes you do have to be careful opening the door you would have to open it by pulling on the door until it has enough clearance to pull up. My brother installed it on his ZR & we learned the hardway
