Default anybody heard of these wheels ??

http://www.i-m-racing.com/d5rgrwanlip.html

they're called Speed Star D5R's. I'm not sure if they're from the same company as SSR, but I heard they're a different company. They seem like good wheels. Anybody have em ??

A local Z guy I know has a set of these in 19" .. They look pretty decent on his car.. The offsets and sizes seem pretty favorable for the Z.. Looks sort of like Volk GT-C but the spokes are thinner and of course not as expensive..

here's a pic of his car:

This is the only other picture I have of his setup..

I'm not sure about the sizes and offsets he's running.. but I'll PM him about this thread (I think his user name is BostonZ here).. I know he has other pictures that he has taken himself.. and the thing about the price.. I think he told me they weren't that expensive so that's what I was going by..

Hey man, I got these through the military "star card" via the "centric mall" on the Navy-nex website. They use the same exact site as www.tirerack.com. There pretty good lookin rims, lots of compliments. Certainly not Volks, but I think there worth the money. Offsets were recomended for my car by the web-site, and techs fro mthere shop. I believe its 20 front and 27 rear. Fronts are 8.5" rears are 10". Tires are BFG KDW2 255/35-19 and 285/35-19. Whole package was cheap!!! $2900 ish LOL comparably there praticaly free, hahaha No fender rolling nessasary, and I recomend some springs, I've got the Hotchkis.

Yo Andy $2900 is not cheap for the rims and tires.. Those rims are moderately expensive.. $2900 is about what I paid for my Volk (TE-37) package..

but your rims do look nice really nice in person..

Thanks Mike, yeah, the price I paid was shipped, balaced, and has big fricken tires!! I didn't mind considering the other wheels I was looking at (BBS) would have run me $6K!!

Considering I had no other money when I was looking for rims, other thsn my military "star card". I did not have much choice on rims. It was either save the cash, or buy right now with tax free credit. There paid off now, but I think if I wasn't so impatient, I might have held out for the Volks. I think the GT-C in noble gold would have looked T*ts on my Redline., So if any one wants to buy mine, and/or trade for the Gold Volks, I'd be willing.

I recently saw the newest "Import Tuner" magazine has a worked RX-7 wit these rims on the cover, they have the 18"s though.
