Satin Finish Gas Door - PLEASE
I am new to the forum and have been researching a satin finish gas door to replace the cheapest part I have found on my 35th Anniv. The only one I have found apparently can be ordered from Germany and shipped through a company from California for about $350. I just sold a 2001 C5 and I thought the markup on Vette parts was crazy, but my replacement door for that was only $225.
Anyone know of a satin finish (to match the door handles, no intention of painting) gas door/cap can be purchased that doesn't require body work to install?? The one for my C5 just bolted on and was great.
Thanks, in advance for any assistance!

Welcome!
I've been actually looking for the same thing (something that matches the door handles) but the only ones that seem to be available at the moment are polished or stainless. Here's a thread that talks about this topic:

The one you mentioned from Germany (Cobra) may be the same thing I was looking at as well & doesn't require you to go to a body shop to intall. If you talk to "Red6" (Paul) from 350Zonline, he can get it to you at a lower price. Problem is, it's polished. I was thinking of just buying it and taking it to a shop to get coated to match the door handles. Not sure yet what I want to do...

Our price is for the Aluminum cap imported from Germany I quoted you both was 280+ shipping.
I wish certain parts we not so much but these parts are imported and devleoped exclusively for the 350z hence the price.

Red... And photos of the Aluminum cap? I'm interested, too.

However the advertisment fails to say whether or not the remote release thingamajig still works with this great looking cap.
Question: Does anybody on this forum have one of these on their Z?

I assume that the remote will not work and you will have to just unlatch it just as you would on most cars.
No one has it yet in the US and it will take atleast 4 weeks for us to get it.
Pics are below

If your supplier can confirm that the remote still works, I'll take the very first one (dibs, and all that stuff).
