has anyone tried this does it work? or is there a short antenna that fits?

Best upgrade ive done so far on my Z Reception is the same and looks good IMO.

 

The JDM Lexus IS300 Altezza antenna fits better. You can pick one up on Ebay for around $35.

the s2000 antennae looks like an antennae on top of a base thats on top of another base. it looks too stacked. i dont think im making any sense. anyway.

 

Yes it works.

I just happens that the handa-accessories site is the site for Carmichael Honda. Carmichael Honda is 2 blocks from my house so I went over and picked one up. It works fine. It doesn't look perfect but if you didn't know it was not the factory antenae you'd probably not even notice. I'm gonna check out the IS300 one when I get a chance, maybe I can post pics of both.

 

I've got a S2000 antenna on my Z as well. Unless you stare at your antenna everytime you approach your car the "base on top of a base on top of base" is a no issue. Besides the factory antenna isn't even flush to the base either, it's just the opposite, not as flush to the base.

Agreed, best $15 I've spent so far, although the $10 California duster is a close second!

i traded in my is300 for the 350z, and the factory antenna is the same as the 350z. what you have to is purchase the jdm antenna from the is300 and you can find these on ebay or if you guys cant find a place i can get the number of the lexus dealer that i bought mine from. i pay around 35.00 and this was about 1yr ago. bye the way it looks 100 times better on the 350z. ill post pics of the car soon..
