Help with Clear side marker
I just bought some new clear side markers, but the look kind of chromed... so I went to Ebay and to my surprise they sell them, I suppose they are replicas (as low as $14.00). I bought them from some one who told me he had maid $50 dollars for them and that he was selling because he just bought an aftermarket bumber which doesnt have space for sidemarkers, he sold them to me for $30...
My question is though, for those of you who have the original piece, does it look chromed, does it have any chrome at all?
here is a pic of an ebay one, which looks exactly as the one I got.
Can some one with an original one post a pic.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
also here is a link to the ebay listing:

The instructions reccomend removing the bumper...but, i was able to swap the reflectors with the car on a lift...my cuzn works at a dealership. Even in the air, the one side with the fluid tank is a pain in the assssss to swap, drivers side is easy!
My forearm looks like I attempted suicide and failed multiple times due to the passenger side install. The driver's side was simple. I simply unbolted 6 bolts from the under panels on each side and pulled it back out of the way.
I did all of this while the car was on the ground (lowered 2") and it took me about 30 minutes passenger side and 10 minutes driver side. Using a short/stubby screwdriver definately helped out from the angle I was working at.

You can remove the entire bumper in about 15 to 20 minutes. Then it only takes about two minutes to remove the stock markers and install the new ones. Then another 15 minutes to reinstall it.
There was also a thread on this site several months back with detailed instructions. Here is the link: https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-nissan-350z/109652-replacing-front-side-reflectors.html
Here is what I posted on that thread.
In my opinion the easiest way to remove the bumper cover is to first take out the 10mm bolts on the bottom of the bumper that also hold the front of the plastic undertray on. Then remove the two screws and one bolt inside the wheel wells that also attach to the bumper cover. The easiest way to do this is to turn the front wheels toward the opposite side you are working on. In other words if you are working on the driver's side turn the front wheels toward the passenger side to give yourself more room to work. Then pull back the fender well liner or unattach the front part of it in order to gain access and stick your hand in to reach the screws and bolt just under the headlights. Then remove them. A flashlight or other light you can use to get inside the fender well is helpful here. Do the same thing on the other side. Once you have those removed on both sides then remove the six top clips and the bumper will come right off. All you have to do then is unscrew the markers (2 screws each) and put the new ones in. Then replace the bumper cover working backwards from the removal process.
Don't forget if you happen to have a Injen CAI like me it is a good time to clean it while you have the bumper cover off and easy access to it.

yeah those arent the real things; 2 different styles of the same thing. you cant light the ebay ones with LEDs, thats for sure; because instead of them reflecting off the lens; the lens is clear and their reflecting off the checkered and chromed backing. oddly the nissan white reflectors are completely opaque. I know cause I tore a set open and spraypainted the backing in hopes of getting a smoked reflector. they looked exactly the same despite a black backing.
other than that; they do look different, the ebay ones are a lot more chome clear shinyness. the nissan ones are pretty much white.

well I realy dont like them being that shiny, but anyways I was planning on smoking them, so it would end up giving me the same results... What realy bothered me is that the seller told me they were original.
