Well, I'm not sure how they would cover your seats in leather or how much it ould be, but when I went to get a quote on a base Z, my friend at the dealership said he would replace the cloth seats to leather 'n factory price would've been $1500.

Maybe to just have the leather seat covers installed, 1500.
The factory leather seats are powered and heated. They have to have new wires ran for them if the car didnt come with them. Dont care about power? Well you dont have to heat them but you must power them because the drivers seat is completely power being the only way you can adjust them and the passenger only has the back part of the seat as being manual.

I got my seats covered by katzkin, thay charged me $500 two tone leather, when I bought the car, I heard someone got quoted $800 recently. Also make sure to check on the warranty to see how long they cover them. That is one company I am sure you can find others with different qualities and/or prices.

$800 +/- seems to be a number quoted on here frequently.

Only guys who have dealers do it pay $1500.

Classic Soft Trim (www.classicsofttrim.com) for about $650 installed. CST is the official aftermarket provider for Nissan cars. If you tell the dealer you want leather in a car, CST is the company who does it. You can go directly to an authorized installer and get the same exact seats for a lot less money. You get the same 3 year warranty that you would have got through Nissan or the dealer. They have colors that match the factory ones plus you can get two-tones, Z emblems, etc.

Check out their website for the nearest installer.

Maybe Pumpkin cost extra

Actually, $650 is the base price. IIRC ventilated seats were another $50 and the Z logos were $50 more. It just depends on what options you wind up picking.

I also got the Suede down the middle which cost a bit extra as well, but well worth the money as it is so soft and smooth.

Are you sure about that? I have never seen a car that did NOT come pre-wired for power seats if they were offered in at least one trim level. It's cheaper for car makers to standardize as much as possible, so all wiring is usually identical across all chassis configurations. The differences come in final interior assembly.

That picture was taken right after they were installed. They tighten up after being out in the sun for a while.

CST Updated Pricing

Just spoke w/ a CST rep in my area and he quoted me $1200 for orange ventillated leather installed on a base 350Z, non power, full leather. He said he could probably get the price down to around $1000 installed. He said w/ that color of leather (orange) the seat is full leather including the back which with some other colors (black, grey) would be vinyl. Just figured I would give everyone an update on pricing.
