Film is better than stock factory tint. Most shop offer life time warranty for a mere 100 bucks.

Does anyone have a windshield strip of tint? I am curious what it looks like on a Z because I am seriously considering getting it put on my car.

give your tint 5 years and it will start to look crappy. i'm not talking bout big bubbles and stuff, but it will become blurry when you look out of it. i got the best stuff possible w/ my last car, and yes they do have a lifetime warranty, looked great for the first 5 years, then went to crap. so give it time.

Well...if it's got a lifetime warranty....then if it goes to crap, take it back and have them fix it. That's what warranties are for. $100 to $250 is much cheaper than getting all new glass...if you could even find 350Z glass that had a darker tint.

so if it DOES start to look "crappy", then get it replaced for free with the warranty. i have tinted every single car i have owned with lifetime warrantied Llumar, never one single problem or "crappiness" whatsoever.

Llumar is the best! I've had 5% Llumar on my truck since 1998 and it looks brand new.

If taken care of the tint will last a long time. No paper towels, abrasive cleaners, etc..

I just had mine tinted monday, 35% fronts and 20% rear quarter panel and hatch glass. What do you guys recommend to clean the inside glass film? Also, they said not to clean the film after 30 days? Is this true?

Ammonia-free window cleaner should be ok. Thats what I was told when I got my tints done. The guy said stuff like windex with ammonia will scratch the film. $150 for the back 3 windows, limo tint, Llumar film with a lifetime warrenty.

Default window tint

Had my 1990 300ZX - tinted , kept it 5 years, then a 1995 Maxima for 9 years with tinted windows. The only problem was very tiny bubbles in rear window of Maxima the last 3 years. This Arizona heat and sun is very hot! Had the Maxima parked in the sun while at work all those year. Can't hardly survive without untinted windows here.
