Where did you get the carbon fiber pieces? I checked the old vendors (reenmachine, pinnacleliquid, etc.) and none of them made the pieces to fit the Z emblem with spaces slightly larger than the Nissan burger spaces.

It was only $39 for the Satin Z Emblem. I only bought the front one however.

I used the carbon fiber pieces that I carefully pulled out of the old "NISSAN" badge.

I used the "Z" from the 350Z badging for the rear deck. I reapplied it with automotive double sided tape two years ago and is still on there really strong.

So, for me ..... it was under $60 if you consider the carbon fiber pieces taken from the older "NISSAN" Emblem. I like it just cause it's different.

If you put on the Z emblem upside down it covers the holes completely.

If you put it on right side up you will see the edge of the holes. What I did was to put it on this way after a bunch of Z'er became critical of my pictures of showing the process. I used a bit of clear silicone adhesive to fill the holes
I then used the factory touch up paint so you couldn't see the edges of those holes any more. So, it does cover the holes and it doesn't. But, if you fill the holes as I did you can put it on right side up and not even the picky will ever know there were holes there.

The other thing you can do is to buy one of the smaller hambergers, like the one on the engine cover. You can either install it by itself or with carbon fiber inserts if you like. I am waiting for mine to arrive. I'm thinking it might look pretty good. So, I spent the $16 to find out if I like it.

The other thing people are talking about it the Z emblem in the rear stut bar. You can buy one of those and it will cover the holes for sure. The only problem I see with that is it might not be centered to cover the holes and your back to a larger emblem.

That came out sweet, it matches your paint code better than say KYO which is mine.

Here is a shot I just took of the Z Emblem installed the correct way. It covers the holes and with a dab of touch up paint you can't see the edges either. I am quite pleased with the way it came out.

I'm not sure if I'm going to try the mini Nissan hamberger or not. It looks so clean just the way it is. Sometimes you should just leave things alone.... This might be one of those times.
