Who has changed their HID bulbs?
Has anyone changed their HID bulbs to a blue coloured one?
I just noticed mine is more white then blue. I just assumed the HID comes default in blue, but I have noticed I've seen other HID cars out there with a more blue light. I find the Blue makes the car more sexy.

www.hidexpress.com 8000K is what I have.
Or you could buy some philips untinons 6500K (pricey, but worth the penny IMO).
Ours come default as 4300K I believe, which starts with a bluish hue but turns more white (even a bit yellowish) after 10 seconds or so. 6000K would give you an aqua hue, 8000 for a blue hue, and 10000K for a purple hue. Good luck.

The website is not working for me but now I know that I need to get at least 6000K bulbs to get the blue colour. Thanks.
Did you do the install yourself? Was it hard to get to the headlight to change the bulbs? I'd like to change the day light bubs too to a brighter or blue colour.

Jack the front end up, take off the wheels, pop out the 3 screws in the front part of the wheel wells, and pop out the wheel well lining...and you will have access to the bulbs. It's quite a bit of work just for the bulbs I know, but that's the only way to change the headlight bulbs for a Z.

Man, I saw a forum where they were selling those 6500K ones for $130usd! That's a hard pill to swallow for bulbs!

if i buy new bulbs do i need to change the ballasts or the ballasts i have will work.. i did this mod on my bike and the bulbs cost me $325 but it was a whole kit... bulbs ballasts and hardware... do i need to buy another kit ? will the ballast for the 4300k be strong enoought to handle the 8000k bulb?

I have 7000K from EagleEye, they are fantastic! Compared to stock HID's on most cars, the only noticeable difference is the color on the ground, stock is white light, mine are blue, blue on black isnt as good as white on black (talking about the road and hid light) but my lights are still much better then the stock halogens and I can see great, plus the compliments on my headlights....

I'm curious too, do I just buy the bulbs or do I have to buy this ballasts thingy someone mentioned?
nitrouz, thanks for the description on how to get to the headlights. That doesn't sound too hard. But I am more curious of the little detail when I get to the headlight. Is it like changing a light bulb?

I have the PIAA 6600k in my car, they are much brighter than OEM and compared to a set of 8000k i got on ebay, they blow them away in brightness and color is about the same, I am impressed to say the least, I have since converted just about everylight in my car to a PIAA bulb of some sort(I get them pretty cheap)
