Enough NO Front Bumper License Plate Tickets!!
alright, i just gotta something. And i know a lot of you experience this since from the pics you post i rarely see a front license plate, BUT i f'in sick of getting a no front license plate ticket. I was parked in a legal zone, but i guess these A$$hole meter maids werent happy that they couldnt give me a parking ticket so they wrote me up for a front license plate ticket. WTF. Now im thinking of just giving in and putting it on, but is there something out there that is like a detachable front license plate mount that i can just hook on or take off? What do you guys do?

or a cheaper alternative is just to use zip-ties and attach it to the grille.

I used to not put my fronts up, and I got sick of tickets so I gave up and just put it on. The Z brackets are a good alternative, but I'm not fond of that "buck teeth" look if you know what I mean.. lol

I said F** it , just give me a ticket , and I 'll be happy to put em just in time for court day. and take it right off after leaving the court with dismissal. ( I think most Judges see these kind of tickets as waste of time)

There is little you can do here to avoid getting this citation out here in Los Angeles. If you live in the heart of LA (like I do), then you WILL get one.. there's no way around it.
I have gotten them from both cops and parking enforcement. However, most parking enforcement workers typically dont leave the citation if its shown on the dashboard. That worked for a while, until I parked in Beverly Hills and a motorcycle cop decided to leave me a citation on my wipers. Like I said, they're little you can do to avoid them.
So, here is what I found works... 100%:
- Do not park on public property, park on private garages and lots, or valet.
- When you drive, avoid being seen.
However, I also noticed that I would get out of more important tickets, with lesser citations (ie: license plate). For instance, rather than giving me a ticket for driving a stripped car with no dashboard, exhaust, illegal motor, clear sidemarkers, or just about any other violation you can think of -- the cop gave me a license plate ticket. Example works again in this situation, where I was let off for speeding and simply issued a front license plate ticket.
So, it really depends.. its a toss-up. Sometimes I think to myself, if I DID have a license plate, I'de be getting a citation for an even bigger item which would be more time consuming to resolve.
Living in the city, its just a lot of fun... this is how the city generates revenue, photo enforced intersections and license plate citations.

I got a ticket for no front plate so I bought a generic bracket from the local auto parts store for $1.97 and used 2 zip ties. Looks just as good (bad) as those expensive brackets and can be taken off and put on in like 2 minutes. It was on there pretty tight too it would work as a permanent solution as well.

If it's primarily when parked that you have the problems, why not just epoxy a couple of strong neodimium magnets to the backside of the bumper cover, then slap some adhesive backed felt on the back of the plate and just stick the plate on when parked in a "danger zone"?

I have a Vizage front, not sure what will work with that (any of these brackets), though I actually only have one plate at the moment (bought used and dealer only had one plate on, 2nd plate not given).

No ticket so far! Knock on wood!
I've had my Z since January of 04. I never installed the front license plate and no tickets so far. I am not planning on putting the front plate on.
