Ask Jason at Performance. I asked him this question a while back but he has not responded. He said that both wheel well fender liners would have to be replaced along with the lower engine cover in order for the 2006 OEM front bumper to fit on the 2005. Keep me posted if he tells you a price for the upgraded facelift on a 2005 Z.

That is correct. For the 06 bumper to fit on the previous models you will need to change the fender liners and lower engine cover.

THAT SUCKS!!! A local guy I know of just put a Nismo kit on his DB 06 and I was going to try and get his front facade. Oh well, it's been drilled for the licence plate anyway.

How much would the new lower engine cover and fender wheel liners cost? how much is the new 06 bumper?

Does the bumper include the new reflectors?

to resurface an old thread, i just put on my new 06 bumper on my 2003 and it stands true that the new fender liners will help mount better, but then again, if your handy with a drill and have the capability to tap 4 hours (2 on left and 2 on right), then it'll mount just as clean as ever. my lower engine cover fit and mounted fine, my track front lower oem diffuser also transfered fine onto the new 06 front bumper with minor sanding down of the form fitting nubs that the 03-05 bumpers have (you to see it to understand it). all in all, the 06 bumper puts the 03-05 to shame in terms of overall look in person; worth every penny

03-05 Bumpers

2006 Bumper (on my '03 with '03-'05 headlights, for those wondering what it would look like without the new bixenons)

appologies for the slight paint mismatch...gotta chat with the body shop about that (not sure if they REALLY used PPG paint like I requested, or maybe I just need to leave the car with them to paint match instead)

I was looking at a parts diagram for the front fender liners, and it shows them as two pieces... would you need both liners, or just the front-most liner?

Terence,

the color look matching. They used PPG. Wait at noon time when the sun directly point to your car, take another pix. They look matching to me.

just the front-most part of the liner, because there is a little gap there when using the 06 front bumper on the 03-05 fender liner
