I feel for you.
You might think about going with some of our clear Headlight Armor. If you apply over your existing lights the adhesive will tend to 'fill in' a good percentage of the pitting and of course protect your lights from further deterioration. If you are able to source a new set applying the covers will help them to say looking good for years.

Good Luck.

The adhesive is thick and will tend to 'fill in' a lot of the existing surface imperfections, whether they are scratches or pitting. It is not a magic wand though. Given your descriptions I would say at the very least what ever you are seeing will be reduced. Hope that helps.
