Default How do you install rear spoiler on 350Z?

Hi all,

Noob here, just purchased an 03 350Z and I'm thinking about buying the small rear spoiler from Nissan for it. I was curious as to how it attaches to the hatch? Is it just 3m taped or is there drilling required?

Thanks in advance.

Eric

2 holes need to be drilled into it, then 3m tape it down.

Yup... He hit it on the head. I drilled my two holes 2 weeks ago and installed mine. Nice and easy!

I'd also be interested. I have an OEM spoiler waitnig to be installed. I'm not sure of the exact hole placement. Also, what size bit/screw did you guys use? Thanks.

guys

just use double-sided body-kit tape... cheap, fast, NO DRILLING, and durable

mine's been on for 3 years... each square inch of tape is capable of securing 5lbs

Don't drill holes on ur car bcoz of the little spoiler...

Also, don't buy the OEM spoiler from dealer they all rip off.

Keep ur eyes on the marketplace in this forum

two brands... 3M and PROFORM. I don't have the exact part #, but if you go to your local body shop, you can buy a roll from them for 15-20 bucks (depending on how much they want to mark up the price )

Great info everyone, thanks again. I'm now thinking about the Motorsport Daytona Wing from these guys instead of the stock spoiler from Nissan.

Does anybody here have one? I'm curious as to the fit and finish.

Eric
