Not true. The type of light, halogen/xenon has nothing to do with the cut out-thats up to the headlight housing/projector/reflector. And its a proven fact that yellow halogen light is much better for wet or foggy conditions. So a good set of yellow fog lights aimed and mounted correctly would be a benefit to Z owners even with Xenon lights. Its just that you see most people spend $40 on pep Boys $hit and they have a crappy 4 foot beam pattern.
I feel the same about those cheap lights, Ive always had good luck with hella, had 3 rally 4000's on my pre-runner, 2 pencil beams and 1 cornering beam in the center it had total coverage in the desert at night. I could turn off the headlights and honestly couldnt see a change since the other lights were so bright. The cornering beam was great because it was so wide of a blanket of light.
I have always wanted to run the 90mm headlights in place of foglights, these would definitely light up the road better than that junk pep boys has. maybe when I get an aftermarket bumper with holes in it I'll mount a pair. Probably wouldnt actually work well in the fog but would help any other time. http://www.hella.com/produktion/Hell...dules_90mm.jsp
I remember a long time ago Bat posted a pic of his car with some custom fog lights he did in the grill area. They were the only fog lights I have seen on a Z that looked good. Anybody know what I'm talking about?
Bat mounted them in the bottom corners of the grill area. They were PIAA's if I am not mistaken.

io dont like them all hidden in the back. i think evor has a set.. they look good, and they blend into the stock bumper. I want the amber lights that supras and corvetes have though.. they have yellow or HID
We do carry Projector foglights for 350Z. We have them in HID option as well. Normal kit is $69 a set. PM me if interested.
sorry to wake a dead thread, but does anyone know of any lights that would work in the reflector slots on the front bumper? I think that would be a good place for some vertical super bright LED's
