Default Need some info on Clearbra pricing

After driving my Z for 2500 miles and already getting a few very minor chips in paint I have decided its time for a clearbra. 3M just came out with a new version of it as well!! Supposed to be clearer and whatnot. I got quoted $600 for the full kit and headlights. Anyone here that can confirm that this is an average price?

sounds great based on previous posts. I paid $1,000 a year ago in the DC area. I think DC runs higher than many other areas of the country. The experience of the installer and their warranty matters A LOT, too.

Yeah, the guy has been doing installs for a long time, and has a good reputation. I have seen his work on other cars and it is flawless.

Looks like 600 is not to bad then...

I just had mine put on Saturday. Was $600 out the door for materials+install (full kit). You save money if you let the installer cut out the pieces, rather than you buying them first. They pay a lot less for material, so the total cost comes down significantly.

I also just got mine done on Saturday in Orlando - Dave Duncan. He charged me $395 for the bumper and headlights installed. I didn't get it on the hood because it only covers 1/2 the hood and I would've seen a line and it collects dirt where the lines are. The car is only three weeks old. He did a good job. The car looked better without it but in the long run I know it will be better for the car...

You can probably repaint your bumper twice for $600.

I've seen clear bra's go from anywhere from $300 to $600. But remember, just because the price is cheap doesn't mean you'll be getting the best quality install. Make sure that your installer of the clear bra has experience in not only doing your specific car but others as well. Check on the portfolio of cars he's done in the past to see his work.

I recommend Allan Selligman for your clear bra install if your interested. He's worked on many high end cars and will not disappoint and despite being local here in Orlando, he'll drive anywhere all over FL to do an install. He's a really good guy and knows what he's doing. Here is his webpage:

Tell him Ian, from the florida G35 club sent you.
