idea for side mirrors
Hi guys I will try and post pics tomorrow when I have daylight, but I got my windows tinted 35% and I was looking at his tint and there was a blue tint, so I proceded to ask him to cut a small piece off for me. To make a long story short I tinted my side mirrors blue and I think its looks sweet. I think some other cars have tinted mirrors but the blue sets the black off! Let me know what you think or if this has been done before!
I been trying to do this for some time. There is a guy in the forum (blue batmobile) who makes overlays, and mentioned he was going to come out with a set of blue tints for the mirrors, but I dont think he has yet.
Post pics soon, and post any more info on them if possible.

Alot of the German cars come with their side mirrors tinted a slight blue. The functionality to it all is that it elimanates glare off the mirrors. I'm sure the auto makers are using something other than blue film, but I do agree and think it looks really nice and classy too!
There's a guy that makes blue tinted mirror overlays for the Z but doesn't sell them. He's got a couple of dealers that also don't sell them for him too. None of them answer e-mails. It's the oddest business model I've ever run across.

There are a few pics for you guys, let me know how many of you guys want them and I will have him cut them. It will cost me a few bucks for the film and to ship so we can work that out later if the response is good. If you click on the image and wait a few moments it will enlarge it for you.
I am pretty sure while back there were some actual mirror replacements that were a blue tint. They were a bit concaved for more visiblity, I believe it was like 75 for a set?
I don't want to make any money off you guys, just want to help out some fellow Z owners. $20 + shipping is what they will cost anyone in here. Like I said just let me know who wants them.

Hey, I pmed you earlier about more than likely wanting a set. Two questions though...1) in the first picture it looks like the edges of the mirror are not actually covered...obviously a nice cut just a tad to small to cover the entire face...is that my imagination?? 2) Any idea of the longevity of these? ie, I know typically, interior window tint doesnt withstand much water / washing. Any ideas as to how long this will last before it starts to peel? Thanks again for tying something new.
