I just installed my hood tonight. First, there is no way the strut bar would fit under the hood. 2nd, even after adjesting the latch to the toppest position, the hood is still really hard to be closed, like it is just low enough to get locked. 3rd, when i release the hood now, it is really loud, way louder than stock.
so my questions are should i get hood pin?? since there should be lot of stress on the latch right now already. Also should be it so loud when I release the hood? And anyone manage to keep the strut bar??
Also anyone find that Seibon clear coat sux?

You can also adjust the strut bar to offer more clearance. Nissan actually recommends that as the adjustment gauge to where to set the brace. Odd I know considering it is a chassis piece but I guess it is not that important to have perfectly adjusted.

Bomex180, thx for letting me know that the loud noise it normal. You have a VS too?? since even without adding washer, it is like 1mm or so higher than the stock hood already...

Can anyone confirm that if i am going make the strut bar to be lower, then the strut bar would be longer or shorter? and would it hurt the car?
also i can not close the hood with the greddy radiator cooling plate, seems like the piece that is holding the latch on the hood is bigger than stock one. anyone has the same problem???
