6000k bulbs?

The flickering and effects that other people have mentioned refer to the cutoff shild in the projector itself. Since the 05' and previous model Z's are fitted with a projector/reflector you can't get as clean a cutoff as you can with full projector lighting systems. Another limitation is that you cannot get the color effects that you can with a full projector system since light is also reflected.
If you have a full projector as in the 06' model you can bend or manipulate the metal cutoff shield in order to get different color effects at the cutoff line.

spot on, just want to add though that the color you see flickering isnt whats projected on the road in front. So even though u see a blue projector headlight, if its oem it will most likely still be a 4300K globe and a white/yellow output on the road
you do get a very minor color change on the 03-05 headlights when you see the car approaching from afar, but nothing like a true projector

I'm not interested in any kind of group buy. I don't mind paying the extra few bucks one bit if it removes even 1 step from the process. I was just seeking information before I decided on which one to buy.
I know I wanna go up about a 1000K or so, but I just didn't know which ones worked best with the Z-car or where to go to get them quick without overpaying too much.
goHID.com was offering some good deals on their website last I checked. Anyone know if those are good or anything about their quality?
Does anyone even know where I can get get Philip's 6000k's without dealing with a GB?
I'd really dig some 5500K's, but I've seen nothing about those for our cars.
Thanks again for the help. You guys rock.

D2S = projector housing
The OEM HID Z uses D2R, since the headlight housing is a hybrid reflector/projector.

I've heard of people taking D2R bulbs and scraping off the coating to make them like D2S but it's not worth the time and effort and you still have a little residue from the coating anyways. So your statement is correct the 06' Z as well as any other car with full projector housings use D2S bulbs.
