Default Caliper Stickers!

Does anyone have any up close pictures of the 350Z non-brembo calipers? I may be able to make a hot looking feature that I think everyone would REALLY be interested in if I could have the help from someone.

The feature are caliper stickers. I currently sell them for cars ranging from Mercedes and Lexus' to Dodge's and Mitsubishi's. I have sold way over 400+ sets of these caliper stickers to people all over the internet. I am currently working with two dealerships now along with a company out of Long Beach, CA. I started the graphics company called: JVD Graphics - Just Vinyl Decal Graphics, myself and I have been working hard ever since. The caliper sticker idea has really taken off and I think you guys would really love em! If I can get a couple upclose pix and maybe a few quick measurements of your guys calipers, I could whip up a hot loooking sticker for ya'll. Here is a sample of what the caliper stickers look like on an Eclipse...

If you guys want more pictures just let me know. Within the next couple weeks I will have a full website up and will update you all when that gets up and running.

Very cool! I won't be getting my Z 'till mid February so I really can't help you out with the photos or specs. I would however, be very interested in purchasing the decals. How much will they cost?

Very cool. I'll try it. Don't the calipers get pretty hot though?

Question

Jason, what is the temperature capability of the vinyl material and adhesive you use?

Thanks in advance.

z327,

Looks good. What paint system did you use? How long? Did you take them apart or paint them on the car?

Cheers!

I did not have to remove the calipers. The bought a brush on kit from the Tire Rack. I did use a smaller brush than what they supplied to get into the tight spots.

what you can do is put the stickers on the caliper, and then spray a clear coat of hi-temp engine paint.

that way, the sticker will be 'sealed' on the caliper.

hmm..those look awfully familiar! On my eclipse I used G2 caliper paint, and I put those stickers on a few months ago and they have stayed in place and look good as new. This winter has been pretty bad as far as the roads go, but it hasnt messed up the stickers.

Hey GirlieGT, how are ya!!! Wish you had the Z also huh? haha
I'm jealous too, dont worry. And thanks for the supportive post and I am glad to hear that they stayed intact.

Ok, back to business.

The caliper stickers are made of a high heat high quality vinyl that as the heat of the calipers increase, the bonding between the caliper and the sticker increases. I have had my stickers on for over two years now and not once have they fallen off. They have been through high pressure washes, three Northeastern brutal winters, and plenty of braking. The stickers are STILL in perfect condition.

The stickers will say "Nissan" on the fronts and then "350Z" in the rear. Does anyone know if there is a special font for the Nissan and 350Z part. It looks like they are written in a special font.

Feel free to IM me (JVD Graphics) or Email me (M3GEclipseRS@aol.com) if you have any questions. I wont be around on AIM today (Monday) or Tuesday until early evening because I am away. But I will be of course working and checking emails for everyone. So feel free to email me whenever and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

I dunno about the 'Nissan' idea.
Can't they all say '350Z' ?
What do the other folks think ??

Looking at those pictures I shall be able to make some stickers.

What do you guys want the stickers to say? Nissan in the front and 350Z in the rear? Nissan in the front and rear? 350Z in the front and rear? You guys decide. I am going to go to a Nissan dealership and try to test fit the caliper stickers on the cars.

I say make both "Nissan" and "350Z" for the front and back. This way the customer will have a choice. I don't know which I might like until I see it on the car.

Any other thoughts? The only problem I see with making both is that one will sell alot more than the other then I am left with a huge inventory of left over stickers and I REALLY dont want that!

It has already happened to me once and dont want that to happen again! haha

How about 'BOSE', front and rear ? hehe..just kidding...

I think '350Z' is the safest bet.
