I've been thinkin about repainting the 350Z after this summer since 3 years of wear and tear is showing. The car has been egged and there is a swirl mark left, there are about 100 stone chips over the front end, and I wouldn't mind molding the rear skirt. *If* I do paint the car, however, I'd want it to be something that is not an OEM color, as to allow it to stick out a little bit. I'm not looking to show the car or anything, so I don't want to get too wild, but if I'm paying $3,000 for a paintjob, I want it to be noticably different. Some are going to argue and say that "quote" is low, but I had my previous car painted including jambs, trunk, engine bay, removed windows, etc. for less than $3k because I have a few connections in the small town I live in...
Anyway, I got bored at work today and I just got photoshop from my brother last evening, so I figured I'd find some tutorials online and play around. Here is my first ever photoshop of a color change on the car. The only area I can noticably see I screwed up is the front hood line, but I plan to fix it later tonight. I'm sure professional "shoppers" can tear this apart, but I think it's ok for only working with 45 mins of experience under my belt.
Here are my first two color possibilities. Let me know what you think. I always loved the Laguna blue on the M3, but not sure if I like it on the Z. The green I did is really growing on me.

I guess this is a really old post... but I've always loved Laguna Seca blue, and always wondered how it'd look on a Z. I can't see the pics though
can anyone possibly do a nice photoshop of it or maybe repost these pics? Thanks
