what wheels are those? I am scared to ask as I am sure that the reponse is going to be some $4k+ set of rims! I like the kit, but would like some better pics of the rear spoiler. It seems like an interesting design especially if it is not connected toi the trunk lid.

Wow - I'm not a big kit fan, but that is pretty clean
looking and super "Sexay".

Might have to add that to my list.

if you mean the 30 series on the rear and 35 up front I was wondering the same thing. Anyone have a guess or know why?

Probably to reduce fender gap up front, since 30's always leave spacing.

I understand the spacing issue. But wouldn't a difference of 5mm give a uneven ride???

There's always height adjustable coilovers.

The reason for the 30's in the rear is that they are 25.7" tall while the front 35's are 25.8" tall. If they used 35's in the rear they would have been 26.7". So the 30's are a closer match to the front in hight.

Is this for all rim applications? or just with the Blitz Brand???

Or does it just depend on the rim size??

Hmmmm.... confused now why most of the shops and recommending / suggesting to go with the 245-35 and 275-35 set up then. I just did a quick search and out of the ones that came up and actually listed their tire size it was 35's front and rear.

edit:

wow, even odder on this one.... just went to Tirerack and they say 225/40 on 9" up front and 245/40 on 10" rears!?!!!?!??!

Since the question was in relation to the two specific tires that is how the question was answered. This show car happened to use what they felt was a good setup to show off the wheels.

You could run 15" rims with 75 series tires on this thing if you had the mind to do it.

You see this kind of tire mixing on porches and BMWs all the time. Its a combination of height, width and profile not just if it is a 30 or 35 series tire.

The 275,245 number represents the width of the tire. The 30,35 number represent the height of the sidewall as a %age of the width. Therefore, a 275/35 tire would have a higher sidewall and a larger circumfrence than a 245/35 because your taking 35% of a higher number.
