Thanks for the pics Giles.

The following are pics he'd taken to help show the rear of the hood. I'm even more excited now!

Enjoy!

Wow! Now that's aggressive looking yet very "simple" if that makes sense. My kind of hood & exactly what I'm trying to aim for with my ride! Waiting for a PM response from punksterz626 before I send my deposit. I just had a few questions/concerns that I needed answers first.

Tommy can chime in if otherwise, but I think since davidf had to back out, GTNPU Z makes 4 paid. PumpedVA is gonna pay soon, and he would make 5.

Tommy will have to give the final numbers though. Since I'd posted this on a couple of other sites, two or three people have expressed interest in paying this past Fri. Don't know how many actually did though.

No doubt on the unique hood. I'm very confident when Toby says he's gonna pay, it will happen.

I was looking through my PM's on the various sites, I may PM those that had mentioned paying. There are def. at least 3 more that said they were definites.

Tommy has said the fitament will be just as good as whatever the Do-Luck fitament is. Meaning, as long as the authentic fits well, his hood will as well, since they are making a mold from the authentic. I think you can tell from the pictures above, that the authentic fits pretty d@mn good.

No worries on my part, I'm sure you're just as anxious as the rest of us.

Good luck with the lawyers.

Thanks.

Dont mean to interupt the GB but does anyone have the file for the templates that boogiemyke made or any of your own in order to make the cut outs on the factory hood? I am going to take the cheaper route and have this done locally by one of my friends who customizes cars for a living, he said it should not be a problem doing this on the factory hood (easy) and cost would be minimal. The finished product would look just like the Nismo prototype. I trust his opinion since he is a good friend and I have seen his work plus he has just landed a great job with a Nascar race team building some of their custom race cars, they just don't hire anyone. To save us some time in figuring out measurements and finding the materials needed I just wanted to see if anyone else had some info they can share with me (curious on what kind of mesh material to use under the vents and where to find it). I think the hood you guys are putting together is awesome, wish I was closer and could afford that kind of money at the moment I am sure it will turn out great, I will post pics of my hood when I am finished. Thank you everyone for your help. If anyone local wants to get this done after I am done with mine just let me know, I don't plan to offer it as a service or anything to try to make money just trying to be a friend to my local Z members. Thanks for all the help!

I've got your email address around here from the NC Z Memb. Directory. I've got a meeting to go to, give me an hour or so, and I'll email it to you.

BTW, I'm gonna cut the vents in my OEM hood as well as order this one.

Robin
