I second the Whelen kit can't go wrong will spend a few hundred but well worth it. All you will need to do is find a place to put the brain run the wires to the headlights and then just drive i think its like a 1" or 1 1/2" hole put the bulb in and get some silicone selnet and put on there. I would suggest ebay before you buy them from a website just to save money but make sure it is whelen.
haha, I've got strobes too...whenever I want to go downtown I have to go down this one road that's got mansions on either side, everyone from out of town likes to go like 10 mph down it...I've found the strobes work well to get them out of the way.
They're great in white out rain too, I KNOW people can see me through the rain that way. They're just fun to have too, and as far as I've been told, are not illegal unless they are red/blue...if construction vehicles and lawn trucks can have them what's stopping everyone from having them? Nothing...

I'll post up some pics later to show you where mine are, the place where mine are is perfect. I might even get you a video to see how badass they look on a Z.
Any tips on installing?

Yeah, give me a few minutes, I took video of my strobes showing you the ideal place to install them. I'm transfering it to my computer right now.
*Edit* I'm having a bit of trouble with the software, so I'll just give you a bit of a written description. If you are not comfortable with doing this yourself, you can have it installed at a local car audio place for not very much money. As far as strobe kits are concerned, I bought mine off of eBay and I am very satisfied with it. Now, of course it is up to personal preference, but I would recommend installing it on the top part of your headlights, in front of the yellow bulbs in your turn signal and toward the side of the headlight that is closest to the center of the car. This will take the most advantage of the reflectivity in your headlights to project the strobes as much as possible. The great thing about the Z headlights is that not only do they project strobes forward, but also to the side. This will help to increase your safety.
Alright, now let's get to putting the bulbs inside of your headlights. You will need to remove the bumper in order to get access to the headlight assembly. If you use the search feature I believe there is a DIY for this. It isn't very difficult, just the clips on the top, bolts on the bottom, and I believe 3 bolts on each side above the wheel wells.
Once the bumper is removed, all you have to do is remove the single bolt that is at the top of the headlight. When you remove the headlight, you will need to disconnect the wire cluster that connects it to the car. I believe that there is a DIY for replacing headlight bulbs as well. For most strobe kits, you will need to drill a 1" hole for the bulb and they will simply "pop" into place with their rubber seal. You will need to drill a hole out of the side of the headlight to run the wiring for the strobe light out.
*This part is very important*
You must be very viligant with silicon around this hole as to make sure there is no way that moisture can find its way into your headlight assembly. This pretty much does it for the bulb assembly. As for wiring, there should be adequate instructions included with your strobe kit.
I'm sorry that I don't have more information for you, but I opted to pay Audio Outlet $90 to put it in for me. I wouldn't recommend anyone using them though. Even though they are cheap, they don't do very good work. I had them put a switch for the strobes in my coin holder and they broke off the door that flips open on the coin holder, also one of the strobes they installed was broken during installation and stopped working about 30 minutes after I got it back from them.
