ok guys, i got an 03 and im gonna put the 06 l.e.d.s taillights on and i saw on courtesy parts a "jdm" version where there clear on top. which do you guys think?? i got a red 350z.

i dont think they are rice. i mean they might look bad though with the color scheme. either way, they are OEM, so the quality is superior. i would like to see the clear LEDs smoked out... that would look interesting.

i have a 2003 Z with 2006 red LEDs. i just dont think the JDM clear ones would match with my car. they look good on a silver car though.

 

yeah i wish they made the top black instead of clear

Its hard to call it rice if its JDM OEM, but I still prefer the 06 red version better.

And I think they're pretty smooth. I'm looking to do the same. But you might wanna grab 'em from the site I linked you to as opposed to Courtesy, they're over $100 cheaper. Or at least were.

 

Since you have red Z, I'd say go with the red 06 LED taillights. But that's just me...

Not feeling the clear taillights. But then again, I feel the same way everytime a honda civic pass by with it's clear taillights...

 

I dunno. I think there's a difference between what I think as "clear taillights" that the ricers have (usually "altezza" lights) and stuff that is JDM. Sometimes it's a fine line to walk but cars done JDM the right way have a certain feel to them. It's not ricey, it's just very...well...Japanese.

Exactly. people always say do what you like, don't care about what other people think. But I personally don't think that you shouldn't care what other people think.

Example, the other day when I was leaving a club with a few friends and took a cab home, we passed by this Honda civic with a huge spoiler and clear taillights. The girls in the cab was laughing and making fun of the civic. Even the cab driver was laughing and started reving his engine at the stop light.

I personally would feel embarressed if people laughed at my car, so I do think it matters what other people think.
