Default Hatchback shocks

I need for someone to give me info on were to get some better shocks for my hatchback due to the spoiler on back. Which I don't understand due to it's not that heavy. Any help out there?

Your local Nissan dealer will have the "upgraded" shocks that you need. Be aware that there is a weight (dampner) under the plastic lining of your hatch that I removed. Even with the new hatch shocks, my hatch would not open (from the lock), without me pulling up on ther hatch while pressing the fob.

maybe your shocks are "bad"? i had no problems with my hatch popping up and releasing. but when i had my celica wing installed, it stopped to release fully. removing the weight in the rear hatch didnt help either. so i brought it into the dealer and they replaced both the springs and arms under warranty. it wasnt the "upgraded" one. they just replaced both the springs and arms with new ones. i have had no problems ever since. try your dealer and see if warranty will cover it. good luck....

like BCHENG said.. If you are having a prob with the hatch popping off of the lock allow me to help. I had the same problem and I brought it to my dealer (who has the BEST sevice dept anywhere) and they replaced the lil springs that pop into the underside of the hatch about half way up. Since then no problems. If you are still under 3/36 try the dealer.. mine was a warranty fix.

yea, even with aftermarket spoiler, dealer didnt give me any problems. and my tech guy said the new stay arms and hatch spring shocks are stronger than the early ones.
